TikTok, the video-based app that has taken the world by storm typically features memes, short dance clips or skits – and for some, it’s become a career. In the 12 months to June 2020, ($1.3 million), according to Forbes.
In fact, for a handful of people, TikTok has become so lucrative that they’re well on their way to becoming billionaires.
According to new analysis from Fresh Student Living which used a TikTok money calculator, some of the most-followed stars on the platform could become billionaires as soon as 2033.
At the top of the list is sixteen-year-old Charli D’Amelio, the most-followed person on TikTok at more than 110 million followers, who earns £46,532 or $83,602.41 per post. If she did just five sponsored posts a year, she would become a billionaire by age 28.
The second-most followed person, Addison Rae Easterling at more than 78 million followers, makes £32,887 per post and would be on track to become a billionaire by age 37 in 2038.
In third, fourth and fifth place are 31-year-old Zach King, 24-year-old Bella Poarch, and 28-year-old Spencer X, who earn between $39,000 and $43,000 per post, are set to become billionaires by age 53, 47 and 53 respectively if they did just five sponsored posts a year.
